This unit begins with the study of explicit formulas for sums of finite arithmetic and geometric series. With this knowledge, it is possible to study explicit formulas for the sum of an infinite geometric series that converges. In calculus, a great variety of infinite series will be studied as well as tests that give information about convergence.
