Probability and Statistics

This unit introduces factorial notation. Using this notation, an understanding of how to apply formulas to compute permutations and combinations is constructed. Permutations and combinations are used to explore introductory probabilities. The Binomial Theorem and how to use it to raise a binomial to positive integer powers is analyzed along with Pascal’s Triangle. In calculus, the concepts of probability and statistics will extend to knowledge of standard distributions and the understanding of the Binomial Theorem beyond integer powers.
